The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida had its first board meeting of 2023 in February. With the new term, we have new committee appointments, Randall Scott chairs the Audit and Finance Committee; Lori Tolland is continuing to serve as the chair of the Development Committee. Our thanks to you both for your new leadership roles with the Foundation board.
Randall Scott
Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Ocala
Randall Scott is President, CEO, and Chairman of MANDEX, Inc., a respected Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business that provides national security and information technology services. MANDEX is based in Fairfax, VA, and operates offices throughout the nation, including Ocala. He has enjoyed a career of more than 50 years, including service in the U.S. military and as a contractor supporting national defense. He has more than 30 years of experience managing governmental and private organizations.
Randall currently serves on several boards and councils, including the Catholic University of America (CUA) School of Theology and Religious Studies (STRS) Board of Visitors, CUA Parents Council, and CUA 1887 Society. He is a graduate with degrees from several universities as well as numerous military institutions and schools.
Over the past 15 years, Randall has been actively involved in the community by helping to improve educational outcomes as they relate to the “Catholic Perspective”. For decades, he and his family have worked to serve the Church and Catholic community through gifts and personal support.
Lori Tolland
Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Ormond Beach
Lori was recently elected to the City Commission as City Commissioner for Zone 1 in her community of Ormond Beach. Lori has also served on the Planning Board for Ormond Beach, Leisure Services Activity Board, Friends of Recreation and Friends of the Performing Arts Secretary, and Jesus Clinic volunteer providing free health care. As a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Lori serves on the bereavement committee, assists with baptisms, serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, & led the “Christ Renews His Parish” retreat.
Lori is also a Registered Nurse at several ambulatory surgical centers and Hospice Care Center. Born in Maryland, she is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Maryland in Baltimore. After moving to Florida in 1989, Lori became involved in various community organizations, school-related boards, and fundraising activities.
Lori previously served as Board Chair of Father Lopez Catholic High School and member of the Capital Campaign Board, Halifax Health Foundation Board, Embry Riddle Athletic Advisory Board, Fundraising Chair of Embry-Riddle Blue and Gold Gala, and Celebrate at Father Lopez.
Lori and her husband, Tim, moved to Florida in 1989. They live in Ormond Beach and enjoy their seven children, and five grandchildren. Lori plays tennis and gardens in her spare time.
