Dr. Robert Kryger

Dr. Robert Kryger, a physics professor and entrepreneurial scientist, has been appointed to The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida’s board of directors where he will share his business, technical and parish-life expertise. He joins a board comprised of lay leaders, clergy and religious members throughout the nine-county area of the Diocese of Orlando. The Catholic Foundation’s board members represent diverse professional fields of expertise and are leaders in their parishes and communities around the diocese.

“We are grateful to Dr. Kryger for his willingness to share his talents and expertise in furthering the mission of The Catholic Foundation throughout the Diocese of Orlando,” said J. Thomas Chandler, Chairman of The Catholic Foundation.

Professionally, Dr. Kryger has worked in a variety of technical fields and started several small businesses. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Notre Dame and is currently a Principal at Beck Kryger Capital Partners LLLP, managing a portfolio of investments in real estate, medical devices, specialized packaging, and food products. Dr. Kryger also holds an appointment as Adjunct Professor of Physics at Florida Polytechnic University and teaches part-time. He is extensively published and regularly consults with expertise in flavor chemistry, beverage formulations, food safety, chemical processing, measurement science and applied physics.

Dr. Kryger has served on a number of professional advisory boards for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), University of Florida, and various scientific societies. He also regularly volunteers as a judge for the State of Florida Science Fair and mentors science students.

Dr. Kryger and his family have been parishioners at Resurrection Catholic Church since relocating to Lakeland, FL in 1995. His parish contributions include serving on the Parish Finance Committee, managing retreats, giving talks, and serving for 18 years as a leader on the Resurrection Catholic School Board.
