Holy Family Catholic School is #1

Holy Family Catholic School in Orlando was named the top private school in Orlando Weekly’s 2015 Best of Orlando reader poll. The school was selected from among all private schools in the Orlando area.

“Holy Family Catholic School being recognized for being the best private school in Orlando (K-8) has been a long time in the making--nearly 20 years,” said Sister Dorothy Sayers, M.P.F., principal. “Although it’s wonderful to get this award, our true reward is knowing that we are achieving the goals we have set out for ourselves -- to give our students a faith-based education that surpasses all others. Our school motto is, Growing in Faith, Knowledge, & Love. With God’s guidance, we are doing just that!”

The annual competition opens in the spring with nominations from readers, who write in their favorite people, places and things to do in Orlando in more than 70 categories—from food and drink, goods and services, local color, music and nightlife, sports and recreation, and even education. A final vote takes place in June with the winners being named later in the summer.

Holy Family School is a nationally accredited Blue Ribbon School that offers a caring atmosphere, steeped in the Catholic faith, where students are challenged to grow intellectually, physically and spiritually.

“I am pleased to know that our efforts have made a difference in the lives our children, parents and community,” Sister Sayers said.
