“I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.”
St. Therese of Lisieux

Vivos Christi Society Induction On October 3 at St. James Catholic Cathedral, 28 new members of the Vivos Christi Society made promises that will provide for the future of the Church.

Through a bequest or other planned gift, Vivos Christi Society’s now 878 members touch hearts throughout Central Florida by providing for essential ministries. Parishes and schools receive funding for growth and outreach; Catholic Charities of Central Florida and the St. Vincent de Paul Society are better able to serve people in poverty; diocesan seminarians receive assistance with tuition; and many other ministries of the Church are supported in their valuable work.

Casey Schroder, the program’s director at The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida, has seen first-hand how the generosity of Vivos Christi Society members impacts everyone involved, including those who give. “What makes the Vivos Christi Society so unique is that members offer that very individual, very personal gift,” said Schroder. “It is difficult to explain how special it is for donors to know that their wishes to support a specific parish or ministry close to their heart will be honored.”

So for the 28 new members of the Vivos Christi Society promising their future support to ministries, The Catholic Foundation makes a promise in return: your gifts will one day become part of your legacy... exactly as intended.
