year end giving

As we thank the Lord for the many blessings we have received throughout the year, let's consider how we might keep Him at the center of our Christmas gift-giving tradition.

There are many ways to make a special year-end gift that can benefit both you and the Church. Gifts received on or before December 31st may also qualify for a 2015 income tax deduction.

Below are a few opportunities you may wish to consider:

  • Give online with a credit card:
Online giving is a simple and secure way to make an immediate difference.

Give now to Our Catholic Appeal >>

Give now to support our Mission Office >>

Give now to assist with the needs of our seminarians >>

  • Send a check:
You are welcome to send a check for Our Catholic Appeal or Alive in Christ by mail. Checks must be postmarked by December 31 to be tax-deductible for 2015.

  • Give stock:
By donating appreciated securities you may receive an income tax deduction and also avoid capital gains tax.

  • Make a charitable gift from an IRA:
If you are over the age of 70½, you may be able to make a charitable gift directly from a traditional or Roth IRA. The gift will count toward your required minimum distribution and may offer tax advantages. Check with your financial advisor and/or plan administrator about the best way to take advantage of this opportunity.
